you dont know what real pain is. you were never depressed because you kept living exactly the same way as before after you got raped. real survivors experience the pain and then move forward.
While in a fight, my best friend once told me: “Everyone is fighting a battle of their own.” I had depression for a long while without realizing what it actually was. When I was raped, it took me only a few days to realize I wasn’t helping myself by being upset. There are no “real” survivors. I experienced& am currently experiencing pain because of what happened. I’ve learned how to make something of myself despite it. I only hope that you overcome your battle as well.
